Handguns that have cleared customs before August 19th, 2022 will not be impacted by the handgun import freeze. If your order has not cleared customs before August 19th, that import will be denied!

Handguns may still be transferred to and from individuals and businesses after August 19th.

Customers are asking about import and export for hunters and competitors: individuals travelling outside of Canada for sport/hunting may export under GEP47, but will require an import permit from GAC for any handguns that are returning to Canada.
